What I’m Wearing: Vintage Hat, ASOS Sunglasses, Motel Rocks Leopard Body, H&M; Skirt, YSL Arty Ring, Nelly Heels & Sequin Collar (made by my talented mother)
Fashion moves pretty fast, I find its pace totally fascinating. But what is even more interesting are the stable components of Fashion, and I’m not referring to the industry as a whole here, but your daily wardrobe as an individual. Think of yourself and the montage of clothes you wear as a monthly edition of a magazine, which pieces showcase the most frequently? Which pieces do you buy, hype up and then, rarely wear? I guess as you get older, you find certain styles, particular prints etc that you will always return to, regardless of what’s “on trend” at that very moment. Now, I’m not talking about “classic” or “timeless” fashion but instead the clothes you love and wear time and time again. Take this skirt for example, I bought it at 17, and 5 years later, I am still wearing it. As I have recently started researching clothing design and manufacturing, it is pieces like this I hope to be able to create one day. Anyway, enough rambling. Happy Saturday!
