I consider my wardrobe  a self-curated collection that pays a homage to my constant changing style. I often purchase clothes purely because I love them rather than because I can see myself wearing them all the time. From my almost obnoxious star print Escada blazer to the vintage fedora dripping in black feathers to my clusters of tarnished costume jewellery hanging from every corner of my apartment- what can I say, I’m a fashion horder,  a complete clothes collector. But sometimes its refreshing to go back to the days when I was yet to establish this obsession – the academia chapter of my life, when Hello Kitty pencil cases and pratical backpacks were what my saved cash bought me. And while I much prefer the now from my painfully geeky adolescence, life seemed wholesome and far simpler back then. So, sometimes it is nice to reminisce – and how fitting that a handbag speciman, albeit in the more practical form of a backpack would bring me back to my younger days. And so here is to me celebrating the Eastpak S/S Returnity Collection – a range of backpacks that go back to where their brand all began. But also, celebrating the backpack that I casually threw on for a Sunday trip to the Flea Market that brought me personally back to where I began; in front of a chalkboard, lunch breaks in the library and an appreciation of the hard work ethic I developed that has helped me build my very own little Frassy brand. And so, while we might all cringe and chew over our youthful errors – we must also, like Eastpak, cherish out pasts but also welcome the personal authenticity we can always find by looking back.
