As much as I love the new Saint Laurent – I’ll always feel a little nostalgic for Yves himself. He was such a genius! Have any of you read “The Beautiful Fall” by Alicia Drake? Its one of my favourite fashion books and one I’ve re-read a fair few times now. It basically recounts the almost parallel lives of Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, as they made their way through the Paris fashion world. A lot of it is set in the 60s too, my favourite era.
