Oh, loafers. They are a wonderful sort of shoe. Comfortable, cute, classic…  I could go on and on, but I won’t. I think one of the reasons I love loafers so much is because I wasn’t allowed to wear them in school. I had this hilariously geeky problem with the arches of my feet so I had to wear shoes that could fit these awkward corrective insoles. Which meant, I had to wear men’s shoes to match my ugly school uniform. I remember being in such anguish about how awkward I looked that my Dad splurged on a pair of men’s Prada shoes to compensate for the fact that my obligatory shoe-wear was so uncool. It was cool that they were Prada but I’m pretty sure I still looked like a loser! So, now at the age of 25, girls I can wear loafers, wow! And I wear them all the time, with jeans, with skirts and even with shorts in the summer. Here are two outfits I’ve worn recently starring a pair of Zara loafers I picked up in the sale last summer. Patent perfection complete with tassels. They are my ideal loafers. I love them. Ok, enough. I have to pack. I’m headed back to Paris tomorrow!
