Over the last few days I have been all over the north of Spain from cities to tiny little castle villages. Cruising in the car, stopping for coffee and photo ops along the way. These photos were taken in a mountain town called Oliete.  A truly enchanting little place, where every cobbled road leads up to a medieval castle and the little girls playing in the square stop, stare and giggle in awe at you. It was a brief visit – we came and left as quickly as the crazy wind that swept through the town all evening and all night. As a city-lover, I tend to overlook the quainter locations of a country, but a walk through Olite really showed me how lovely villages really are. And of course, while I might not be Spanish, it is a place I will always call home – so I love discovering new parts of the country where I grew up. More  tomorrow!
