Over the years, Hedonia has featured on Frassy not regularly but consistently – every so often the brand’s creative director, Kay would drop me a casual email asking if I would like to wear some pieces here and there. I’d choose a dress or co-ord – marvel at how well it fit me and then usually run across town to the Eiffel to shoot some photos. It was a pattern we sort of fell into and Hedonia is a brand that will always remind of my favourite bridge in Paris, Bir Hakeim – I was wearing one of their dresses the first time I walked across it. Freezing cold without tights but in awe of the views. So earlier this year, one of those emails from Kay popped up on my i-phone, but this time she was coming to Paris, she wanted to shoot an entire lookbook, and she wanted glasses-wearing goofy me to wear all her designs. After much discussion, we decided we needed to have cute dogs involved, I would do my own hair and makeup but we would splurge on cheese platters and bottles of champagne at cafes along the way. It was such a fun day, sure I was a little cold, but the Hedonia team and my new friend Valentina were such hilarious company, the dresses were so pretty and Paris as always, was utterly magical. The shoot ended as a very purple sunset drained the skies dark – and there we all were, a little bit tipsy and laughing, marvelling at the view that I have come to associate with Hedonia, underneath Bir Hakeim looking across at the Eiffel in all it’s golden night time glory. And voila, here are the best photos from our Paris day. I hope you appreciate the dresses, I hope they make you happy that spring is on it’s way and I hope you stop and look a little longer at the dogs we invited on the shoot too.
