On Sunday, we attended the Prix de Diane, sponsored by
Longines. It was a warm summer’s day and the race course itself was just beautiful, like something out of movie. From the hotel, we travelled to the event in an old-fashioned horse carriage. After a beautiful lunch, we sat outside in the sunshine and watched the races. I have never been before, so it was all new to me, naturally, I was enthralled by everyone’s hats. From skulls to studs to feathers to large wreaths of flowers and foliage, it was headwear inspiration to say the least. Simon Baker was there for the event as well, he presented the Mademoiselle de Diane prize (which was an incredible diamond Longines watch) to the lady with the best outfit. And as for betting, Anastasia and I being total rookies, bet on the horses with pretty names. And so we put money on “Kissed”, while we didn’t lose,we did’nt win much either – but it all was just for fun. All in all, it was a lovely Sunday but also, an incredible weekend – a huge thank you to
Longines and ElleryMaddocks for inviting us!
