I booked a 4 day weekend to Rome with friends as a birthday present to myself a few weeks back. Life was feeling dull and cold – I needed a brand new escape. And what I intended to be a four day pasta/pizza fest turned into discovering a city I think I could love as much as I do Paris. Seriously, I was totally captivated – from the friendly people, sunny skies to the delicious food and that quaint unbeatable charm of a truly ancient city. Back at home, in front of my computer, I am dreaming up ways I can go back for a few weeks, or a few months, maybe even a year or two. I’ve had itchy feet for a while now, I grew up in a very nomadic environment – and while I am here in France for now, a move somewhere new is approaching at some point, hopefully sooner than later.
