I have dreamed of seeing the lavender fields of southern france for as long as I can remember – and so off Haleigh and I went zipping up narrow country lanes in search of a purple paradise to call our own for a few hours. After getting terribly lost and losing almost all hope, we finally stumbled upon row after row of this wonderful lilac – stretching up & down the fields for what seemed forever. It was everything I had hoped it would be – the intoxicating smell, the buzz of all the bees between the flowers and every hue of purple you could imagine -simply heavenly. And while my pedicure is totally destroyed and my legs are laden with scratches, I tossed off my shoes and did what I had always wanted to do, run and spin through these lavender fields like the child I am. It was euphoric but in the simplest of ways – pure, quiet but so pretty girls, I can’t quite convey just how stunning it was!
