A few weeks ago, I was invited by the very kind Marie Helene to come discover her boutique and brand, Justine Red –tucked up a pretty side street just off Boulevard Saint Germain. Now, you girls know how much I enjoy a personal fashion story, and Marie’s was fascinating – she took experiences and anecdotes from her own life to help create her brand. As an avid traveler, she set out to create the perfect travel bag – and in the process considered every last detail, from size to durability to weight.
Her Zzzyz Road bags come in 3 sizes, and are customizable with removable accessories for keys, cosmetics, iphones etc. Marie believes in organization during traveling – and she has constructed her bags to make this as easy as possible, all her bags are even foldable, taking up virtually no space in your suitcase. But as a ridiculous klutz, I was most impressed with the crazy strong rubber fabric they are made from, with a tire design, not only super easy to clean but with handles in safety belts able to hold up to 2 tonnes of weight. As for the car and dog in her cute logo – both personal touches – her pet and red vintage wheels are as much part of her as the brand itself. I love the cute red car charms hanging off every Road Runners bag – reminding us that Justine Red is a brand made for adventures on the go.
