It’s funny how dreams oscillate as we grow, a few years ago, I went on a summer road trip with one of my best friends, Haleigh, and she showed me a very beautiful city called Aix en Provence. It had me yearning to explore even further down the country to the south, back then Paris was practically my boyfriend and I intended on marrying France. Funny how I left and am still yet to go back and realize that dream of Cannes or Nice or Saint Tropez. I quite literally fell and slipped back into Spain and it was a stumble that stuck. Funny how so many dreams change as life ambles down it’s own uncontrollable course. Now as a girl of many dreams, too many dreams, I don’t see the abandoned ones as failures but simply put on pause, tucked away like a bookmark to remember ,always sticking around to revisit later. I think we as women should clutch at as many dreams as possible, even if we never achieve the majority of them, the process of collecting them is a confident, bold move. So I’ll take Ibiza, a big boat too, the enormous penthouse in Barcelona and perhaps, retirement in the south of France. Because yes I cannes. We all cannes.
