such love for adore jewellery
The next chapter in my jewellery journal, the same collection of gold I shared as Christmas gifts last week, I now happen to be wearing myself, an inevitable, very predictable consequence. What can I say? Jewellery makes me a giddy fool, so it seemed appropriate to share these pieces I love again but in more dimensional form, modelled by yours truly; with many a hair flip, of course. Dressed up alongside the most perfectly tailored jumpsuit, black and gold are an unbeatable pairing, add in wild hair, a sun flare and two or three generous glasses of wine and it’s an aggressively festive affair. When it comes to jewellery, I’ve developed a loose set of rules, now as laidback as they are, I do adhere to them: 3 bracelets is best, a pair of rings and only 1 necklace. I’m not too keen on mixing metals, preferring solely gold. Over-decorating ourselves is a risk we run as women, especially should you be one like me with an addiction to self-decoration. In the same way heavy eye makeup paired with a dark lip looks excessive, too much jewellery can have the same effect. Wear wisely but sparingly. This is why I fell for Adore, their jewellery is classic, not barely there but never garish either – their pieces deliver just the right amount of glamour and isn’t jewellery the most glamorous of accessories? I believe so.
