Let’s be honest, do we not all mostly over apply bronzer? Shocked when the metal in our compacts starts to show, but ‘I just bought this’, we’ll think as we sit with shoulders dusted in powder because, yes what starts as face application usually ends in bronzing our necks and decolletage too. And perhaps too we should talk about our white clothing and the peril bronzer brings. I myself have even vicitimzed many of my boyfriend’s shirts with my overzealous bronzing. And so with summer in full flow, I simply had to once again celebrate bronzer, and this here is my personal ode to Guerlain’s famous Terracotta.
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer & Blush Powder
I use this as my ‘base bronzer coat’ – I say this like I’m an artist but really it’s simply a few heavyhanded brush strokes. This is a beautiful, matte, deep bronze – ideal layered over a natural tan. I also must must tell you how wonderful it smells – normally, scented makeup irritates me but this has the most light, barely-there summer scent.
Guerlain Sunkissed Healthy Glow Powder Light
This bronzer I’ll use secondary – it’s a reddish hue, which I suppose I use as a blush – I wouldn’t know the technical term but the two powders together are magic – the ideal bronzing duo. After a day at the beach, before a dinner out, I’ll apply one over the other with no base – not even my usual CC cream, just a few drops of a face oil before the powders. And honestly? I adore how my skin looks. I am GLOWING.
Guerlain Bronzer Terracotta Highlighting Stick
My favourite highlight of all time. It’s chunky, thick and the most delicious, deep gold. It takes less then 15 seconds to apply beautifully, a quick smudge down my nose and cheekbones is all it takes.
