What I’m Wearing: Primark Lime Mohair Co-Ord, Primark Necklaces, Earrings & Primark Patent Loafers
Paris can be terribly grey this time of year, more often than not, the sky hangs low and heavy and then droops away into a sad sunset. However, every so often, the sun will sporadically peek out here and there, spreading a bizarre but incredibly magical light on the city. You can see how quickly the light changes just in this series of photographs, from flashbulb-like flicker to golden haze and then back to grey, all in a matter of a few seconds. Personally, as a girl who spends a great deal of her time either in front of or behind a camera, I find the winter sun in Paris so invigorating. It changes so rapidly, darting from grey to gold before you can even adjust your camera settings, trying to catch the right light is close to impossible, so instead of planning – you have to just go with whatever the skies are offering you. Which I also like to think of as a metaphor, and funnily enough how I’ve been living my life recently. I took a moment’s break from chasing – work, money, emails and found myself getting lost in other things that life suddenly and so unexpectedly offered me. So with the changing winter light also came a series of personal transitions and while they might not last, for now, I am simply relishing the changes, and excited to see what more they bring.
