A few weeks ago, Sonia Rykiel kindly invited me to their showroom on Boulevard Saint Germain, where I was given free reign to style some of their clothes. So my photographer and I went wandering the streets of the 6eme, playing dress up on the cobblestones, dangerously darting through traffic and even making a crepe pit-stop. I’ll always adore the left bank, it was where I lived for the first 2 years of my Paris life and Saint Germain is my favourite part of the city. Sonia Rykiel is one of my all time favourite brands and Mrs. Rykiel herself is one of my fashion business idols, especially after I saw her in Loic Prigent’s series “The Day Before”. So it was really was an honour to go pay the brand a visit- besides after living in the area for so long, and passing the building almost daily, I’d always wondered what their offices looked like, which are above their giant flagship boutique. And let me tell you, they are super duper fancy – they’ve even got a huge inner terrace up there! Its like a Rykiel fort! And so finally, here are the photos we snapped throughout the day!
Finally, urging you all to head over to Sonia Rykiel online and take a look at their A/W collection – those sweaters, oh my! And, if you are visiting Paris this summer – take a stroll down Boulevard Saint Germain, grab a coffee at Cafe Flore and then head over to the Sonia Rykiel flagship (its literally just down the street) – I promise you won’t be disappointed!
