Lace is such a beautiful texture, I thought about it, and really it’s allure lies in it’s absence of substance, conjuring up so much merely through all those tiny spaces between the threads. Most of the year, lace isn’t something I reach for but as soon as winter seeps in, I start gravitating towards it. It looks so much lovelier against my paler complexion, and really the only way I can feasibly show a hint of skin without shivering down the street. And I finally pulled my treasured Jimmy Choos out from their box- I have two pairs but rarely wear them, when you are as clumsy and messy as me, expensive shoes are such a gamble. And while they were both gifts from the brand, I could never justify spending so much on shoes, so they are treasures to me. Big love girls – keep smiling, okay?
