Black on black on black. Doubt on doubt on doubt. Not doubting the outfit, no I like this one, well, I like all my outfits but that’s obvious, obviously. A more vague doubt, one I hope to shed as summer collapses into fall. It’s been quite the statement piece this summer, I’ve co-ordinated most of ensembles with this emotion that quite frankly crawled into the bottom of my handbag, knotted into my ponytails, sat between my lips I try to line neatly in lipstick. Oh I just have no idea. But there is Biba and this beautiful city called Barcelona and boys to meet. Next month there is Paris and a series of projects rolling from week one all the way into October. I’ll be busy. I am so happy to be busy, as a blogger, it is a forever honour. There are so many of us and we all seem to be doing quite spectacularly. I harp on about how disappointing and doubtful I am when it comes to this industry, in many ways I am, however, I am endlessly proud that what I begin in my crappy University bedroom is now recognized as a career. That is quite simply, so cool. I’ll never doubt that. Just like I’ll never doubt black matched with black or red lipstick or extravagant sunglasses. Or books or Biba or the simplicity of a walk down a street in a city I love. There will always be doubt, but there will always be the quieter constants too, I should concentrate on collecting those instead. Oh how I really should. We all should. I hope you do. Biba certainly does, the more time I spend with this dog, the more I realize just how perfectly she approaches life. In fact I doubt she ever doubts, at all, ever.
