Oh, life is such fun these days. I’m exercising more than I sleep, work is cycling through steady waves and the temperatures have risen to almost summer outside. I spent last night on a date and this afternoon, asleep in the sun on my balcony with Biba and a pitcher of lemon water nearby. Life is back to what it was: quiet and there is a calm and time for things like making salads with strange ingredients, hauling rugs for cleaning to the dry cleaners and books alongside notebooks to fill with the best quotes. Later, we are going to see Florence & The Machine, who surprisingly makes a Barcelona stop on her world tour tonight. The first time I watched her live, I cried because every one of her songs is filled with the most wonderful words and she sings them in that strange, sort of angry but sad way. I adore her. It will be the perfect way to end this week. Maybe we will eat sushi after, maybe we won’t. I am simply quite happy , happy its Saturday and tomorrow there is an entire Sunday. But most of all? I’m happy to have my quiet almost loner life back. And I wish I had something more poetic to share with you today but the words aren’t running, maybe because it’s the weekend and I’m relaxed. But how lovely to have a day where thoughts and pressures don’t override all else, a day where I’m just here and the sun is there and I feel completely alone, but also, completely free.
