‘I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer’ a quote by F.Scott Fitzgerald, and one that always springs to mind as these early days of summer set in. There is something that stirs inside me every time this season begins – its an excitement, of sorts, I guess. The useless winter days that stretch on for months, the gloom and the heavy rain accumulate and ascend until they break into that something called May, a great month, probably the best month – when life becomes more like life and less like work. Maybe, I’m just too busy enjoying the sunshine to see the shadows… regardless I have two personalities over the course of a year, I’m officially seasonal bi-polar. The charms of summer soak in and I’m simply happier and the heat, that pure undeniable warmth that fills the long summer days, its a detox, a revival and always a new beginning for me. And so, as a warm-up and a welcome to the season we are all excited for, I thought I’d share my start of summer with you -a few photographs from Spain, where I’ve truly been enjoying life, lately.
