rust: a new favourite colour, like an overripe
peach, terracotta tiles or the melting sun at dusk

makeup i’m wearing: bobbi brown intensive skin serum foundation in natural, bobbi brown bronzing powder in golden light, bobbi brown nude matte lipstick in sandwash pink, mac lipliner in spice, sleek makeup highlighting palette in precious metals
I’ll always be in awe of the women that manage to stick to a few constant colours within their wardrobes. I wholeheartedly lack this discipline. I love navy blue as much as I love powder pink. In fact, I adore colour. I also, adore a lack of colour – whites, creams, greys or blacks. I like it all and so quite aptly, I wear it all. Lately, my preference has swayed towards earth tones; green, camel and khaki have been spreading through my closets like ivy. Ivy green, another great colour. The Pantone Chart fascinates me, which is where I stumbled across rust. A rich brown, an almost orange – a burnt sort of shade. Quite like the sun in Barcelona or how I feel after being out in this hot hot city all day. It’s an unusual colour, reminding me of a too ripe peach, terracotta tiles or the amber melting sun at dusk. I like all these things, even overripe peaches, they make for really good bircher muesli (you should try this, don’t throw them away!) So to summarize, I guess, rust is the colour I am enjoying most today. This will definietly change tomorrow and by Friday, who knows what colour I’ll be singing. I’m a lover of colour, but a very fickle one. But how could I resist? According to Pantone, there are more colours for me to fall in love with than are days in a year. I plan to be as promiscuous as I possibly can be.
