WHAT I’M WEARING: CLOTHO DENIM PEPLUM TOP, CLOTHO WHITE PENCIL SKIRT, ZARA CROPPED TRENCH & ASOS HEELS
You can wear white in the winter. You can pair your summer season shoes with socks. You can haphazardly throw a scarf around your neck, not in a circle but draped on either side of your neck. It’s more dramatic this way, more interesting. November doesn’t always have to be all black or dappled grey or maroon-meets-burgundy. In the late months of the year, lighter colours can look frosty or icy in a very pretty way. Especially on a quiet morning when you decide to bring your takeout coffee to Kiehls instead of home to work. You can neglect your hair and pull it into a bun that before you leave the house comes undone.
The cashier at Kiehls might wonder why someone who seemingly doesn’t brush their hair would spend a pocketful of cash on cosmetics. But your friend might then later tell you your hair looks chic. They might even like the socks you wore with your shoes. You can bring a trench in case it’s cold but toss it over your shoulder instead. It is okay to wear too much lipstick. Generous lips are a nice thing. Messy hair is okay too. Everything in your head is a chaotic mess, your hair can be too. After all, your mind is why you wandered to Kiehls in the first place, the internet probably told you that your bouncing emotions could be cured by expensive body cream. And so the shopping bag swings, so does your scarf and that trench you didn’t need to bring.
