Well it’s been a minute since my last beauty post and with summer in full swing I wanted to share some of my seasonal skincare essentials. Now this isn’t sponsored, I bought these products myself and will re-buy again and again. Some of them in fact hail from recommendations via instagram messages from you beautiful women who clearly know a lot more about skincare than I do, I will continue to seek your advice because I’m never dissapointed. Perhaps some of you remember my determination to invest and trial Mario Bedescu, my favourite of the three products I bought features here: this facial scrub, for lack of a better word, is BEAUTIFUL. The most incredible sent and the perfect balance between grainy and soft, meaning it’s invigorating but not drying. I tend to use it this every other day or if I’ve been at the beach or out shooting when I tend to get especially sweaty. I am a big lover of Manuka honey, I eat a tablespoon every morning on my oats and even applied it straight from the jar onto my coldsore, which was such an unexpected natural relief. This cream by Kiehl’s is a recent release I believe and it’s main ingredients is indeed my beloved manuka. Manuka honey can help skin lock in moisture without leaving behind an oily film. This goes on thick but absorbs immediately, and the scent is honey-infused, delicious enough to eat! I’ve been it applying the cream nightly and I love it. I foresee this product becoming a summer saviour after long days under the sun. La Roche Posay’s Effaclar Duo is absolutely a cult product but with good reason, this stuff is pure magic. As soon as I spot a blemish, I’ll apply a miniscule amount of this and the next day it’s vanished entirely! Could not live without it! Poppy Austin was actually a brand I stumbled across on Amazon, her products are 100% natural and surprisingly affordable too. I’m a big believer in the powers of hyaluronic acid, I even drink a tablespoon of it daily! I’ve tried a fair few serums but Poppy’s is absolutely my favourite, it’s lightweight, absorbs super quick and very soothing. I will usually layer this under my daytime moisturizer every morning, it works as a wonderful primer too before I do my makeup. And finally I couldn’t not include Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, I’ve been using this one for years and years, in my opinion it’s the best ; I like that it foams, it works well with my clarisonic and it never dries my already dry-prone skin out.
