I start counting down for summer as soon as it ends. And so those first swimsuits are always highly anticipated, this now traditional ‘first swim’ edit always feels momentous because it marks the beginning of all I live for in life: the sea and the sun. Summer is taking her sweet time this season and these photographs were shot in sections because the sun simply refuses to stick around. I won’t lie the weather lately has dampened my mood, I long to get away from the one place I love to stay this time of year. Which leads me to this, I’m, as always, happy to collaborate alongside Primark on this edit, for two reasons, I’ve always loved their swimwear and TWO, they are delightfully affordable and I need to save all the money I can for my travels (aka getting the f–k out of this weather and into the sunshine on an island). So let these four swimwear styles I love inspire you to dress for the beach affordably so that you can save your pennies for a vacation or three. On my list this year? Ibiza, ofcourse, predictable from me. A roadtrip through Cannes, St Tropez, Monaco. And finally, a dolce vita stint on the island of Capri, the only Italian isle I am yet to see and a trip completely inspired by my hero Slim Aarons. And you can bet I’ll be packing these swimsuits with me.
what i’m wearing: swimsuits, cover ups, sunglasses, denim jacket – all by primark & all in store now
