what i’m wearing: opening ceremony camel bomber via shopbop, miss pap ribbed roll neck dress, alexander wang rockie duffle bag via shopbop, zerouv aviator sunglasses & public desire sock stretch boots
I would never claim my personal style original, far from it, I spend too much time on pinterest for anything I wear to be defined as ‘unique’. We are all,as women, dressing like someone else, all I can hope is that my inspiration flows from the most refined heroines. However, I just don’t enjoy wearing the same version of a garment as everyone else, so I refused to indulge in any of the bombers Zara is currently offering, simply because everyone and their sister is wearing one. Which is how I swiftly stumbled into love with this Opening Ceremony bomber. It reminds me of my first ever, a very old, somewhat dusty bomber, which was mine for 12 euros from a vintage shop in Paris back in 2011 or so. This one is delicious like a milky latte or a caramel candy: the perfect camel shade in leather with retro academia inspired plush insignia; unexpected in that I won’t spot 3 babes in Barcelona wearing. A few days later, these boots arrived, which are amazingly more like socks with heels than solid footwear. I had to pull these sock shoes and my new jacket together in one ensemble, it was a must. But before I get carried away, here are a few othersthings I’ve fallen in love with as of late, and perhaps if and when pinterest gets boring this weekend, you can enjoy them too: any and all poetry by Nikita Gill, ‘Heat’, The Knocks new song, Haters Back Off, a netflix original series by the bizarrely hilarious Miranda Sings and finally, depop where I promise to be selling a substantial proportion of my wardobe this weekend.
