festival edit 2018

Friday, June 15, 2018

Since moving to Barcelona 3 years ago, it has become  Frassy tradition to share a yearly festival lookbook, as soon as the beginning of June arrives all my friends are clambering and planning outfits for all the music parties coming up. Barcelona, in the summer  feels like a never ending festival, there are the huge events like Primavera Sound or Sonar (starting today, yay!) . But also, weekly outdoor raves like  ‘brunch electronik’ , the famous el row parties,  Barcelona Beach Festival, Cruilla and so on. Infinite outdoor music events and the beach are what this city revolves around when it’s hot. Not to mention, a quick plane hop away is the insanity  called Ibiza, an island I’m sure sways with the sea as soon as the season starts – there’s all kinds of parties, all day, all night  from here on out. Now,  I’m an enormous lover of electronic music, so to live in this country in the summer is incredible. I love it!  I will say this though, I am not the most ‘edgy’ dresser, so it’s always been a challenge to find my own version of a ‘festival worthy’ outfit.  No fishnet cycling shorts for me. No feather headwear either. And that’s precisely why I love putting together these lookbooks, because not everyone wants to look like a Coachella clone. Eye roll. So here’s to finding your own festival chic. I suppose my own style would be Florence Welch meets Carrie Bradshaw, switching out her signature manolos for a pair of espadrilles or sneakers, ofcourse! Festivals are for flat shoes ONLY. Everything else is whatever you want.  And so, without further ado, here are the four festival looks I styled alongside Little Mistress. And here’s to all the music madness and magic along the way this summer!
